Our history
This extraordinary adventure started many years ago when we’ve decided to start our activity in the scope of renovation and reconstruction of run-down buildings in the historic area of the city.
Our architecture and interior design projects are always designed based
based on the concept of preserving the history, traditions and spirit of the places.
At one point, we felt the urge to open the doors of our homes to share this vision and values.
For us, as Portuguese people, the desire to welcome visitors is an ancient habit that gets lost in time. It comes from our ancestors who left the doors of their homes open and a plate of food on the table to welcome passing travellers.
54 São Paulo is our new unit in Lisbon and marks a new level of demand in our art of welcoming.
This oasis located on the riverside,
with a charming garden separating the two buildings of the establishment, was designed to create an environment of sophisticated comfort and excellent service.
54 Santa Catarina was born out of this desire to create a magical space in Lisbon that was more than just a place to sleep. After a careful restoration of a building with over 300 years old, which had almost been destroyed by a huge fire, we opened the doors in 2014 with only 9 sophisticated apartments, each with a distinctive and particular decoration, evoking an illustrious
from our culture.
Now, after the purchase and rehabilitation of the building next door, 54 Santa Catarina has 11 spacious and refined apartments, where we host our guests in a very personal way, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The houses in Comporta are located on the Alentejo coast, in the region where we spent holidays as children and whose beauty and authenticity of the place constitute a paradise yet to be discovered. They are family homes, of pure and contemporary lines, perfectly inserted in the nature of extensive rice fields, surrounded by stone pines, and an intact beach,
where we want you to feel as we feel:
at home in our beach house.
Determined to create a type of tourism whose strategy is to show the enormous geographic, cultural and gastronomic diversity of our country, we decided to launch ourselves into the exciting challenge of creating a new hotel offer.
We believe that our eight caravans, or our hotel on wheels – as we like to say, are the best way to get to know and experience the landscapes, products, gastronomy, history and stories
of each region of Portugal.
And let’s not stop there, because we are full of ideas for new projects.
